In a video shared by Paul, he is seen travelling in an autorickshaw in Chennai and interacting with two young passengers. When asked about their future aspirations, one child, who says he is studying in Class 9 , says he wants to become a Chartered Accountant (CA) . Another child, identified in the post as Mukundan , says he wants to become an aerospace engineer . Paul appreciates the children for having what he describes as a clear vision for their future. Port Blair: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Andaman & Nicobar Islands State President Dr Arun Kumar Mallik has urged the Andaman & Nicobar Administration to follow up on recommendations and actions proposed by the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) concerning enforcement against overloaded commercial goods vehicles and the construction of additional weighbridges along National Highway-4 (NH-4) . In a letter dated 7 September 2026 addressed to the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman District, Mallik referred to an earlier request regarding an additional weighbridge on NH-4, mandatory use of the existing Mile Tilak weighbridge by commercial goods vehicles, exemption of weighbridge user fees for vehicles transporting fresh vegetables, and continuation of the 12-tonne maximum truck-load restriction on vehicle ferries . Mayabunder : Hon’ble Member of Parliament for the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray , handed over two pick-up vans sanctioned under the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) to Gram Panchayats Sabri and Shivapur at the Deputy Commissioner's Office in Mayabunder. The handover took place in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner, Zilla Parishad members and representatives of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) . The two vehicles will be utilised by the respective Gram Panchayats for garbage collection and sanitation-related activities , according to the information released regarding the handover. Bhasker , has urged the Lieutenant Governor of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands to personally travel along National Highway-4 from Jirkatang to Diglipur and assess the condition of the road and the difficulties faced by residents of North and Middle Andaman. In a press release, Bhasker said NH-4, which he described as the lifeline of North and Middle Andaman, continues to remain in poor and deteriorating condition despite repeated assurances regarding its improvement and completion. 13 Hospitalized After STS School Bus Accident Near Kishorinagar in North Andaman

  Diglipur, July 10: An Andaman and Nicobar State Transport Service (STS) school bus carrying students from Kishorinagar towards Talbagan met with an accident on Friday morning after reportedly skidding off the road. According to information available from government and local sources, passengers were safely evacuated from the vehicle and shifted to the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Kishorinagar , before personnel from the Fire & Emergency Services reached the accident site. The vehicle involved has been identified as an STS bus attached to Paschim Sagar , bearing Registration No. AN 01 G 0034 , manufactured by Tata Motors Ltd. Vehicle registration records indicate that the bus is classified as a Bus (LPV), BS-II compliant , with a seating capacity of 45 passengers .
